Privacy Policy
Who is responsible

What we process
- Account. A random player id and the sign-in identity your device gives us (Google Play Games on Android, Apple Game Center on iOS). We use it only to sign you in to your own account.
- Characters and progress. Character names, class, level, items, gold, quests, storage and your Item Shop Storage. This is the game itself and is kept while your account exists.
- Chat. Local and global chat lines are shown to other players. The server keeps chat lines for 7 days so that reports can be checked; a reported line is kept with the report.
- Reports, blocks and sanctions. Reports you send or receive, players you block, mutes and bans, so that the rules can be enforced.
- Market and trades. Sales between players (item, price, buyer and seller character) to handle disputes and fraud. [OWNER: retention period.]
- Purchases. For Item Shop purchases the store's purchase token and product id, so that the server can verify the purchase with Google or Apple and deliver it exactly once. Payment details are handled by Google or Apple; we never see them.
- Game statistics. Play sessions (when a character entered and left the world, which channel) and daily totals, kept 400 days, to run and balance the game and to handle abuse cases. Technical events from the app (for example errors and loading times) are kept 30 days.
- Server logs. Technical logs of the servers, which can contain IP addresses (for example for rate limits against attacks). They are deleted after at most 5 weeks.
- Staff actions. Every action of our support staff on an account is logged and kept 400 days.
Why (legal bases)
- To provide the game you asked for: account, characters, chat, market, purchases (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).
- To keep the game safe and fair: logs, reports, sanctions, abuse checks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in a secure service without cheating or fraud).
- To keep purchase records as the law requires (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR).
Who receives data
- Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany: hosting of the game servers (data processing agreement).
- Google (Play Games, Google Play billing) and Apple (Game Center, App Store) for sign-in and purchases, under their own privacy policies.
- Other players see your character name, look, level and chat lines.
We do not sell data and show no advertising. [OWNER: confirm: no ads, no analytics or crash SDK that sends data to a third party.]
Deleting your account
In the game: Settings, Delete account. This deletes your characters, their items and your Item Shop Storage from the server at once. Details and what is kept for a short time: Delete account.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, a copy of your data, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can also complain to a data protection authority, for example the one of North Rhine-Westphalia (LDI NRW). Write to support@demonfork.io and include your player id (Settings).
Age
STONEGRIND is for players aged 16 and older.
Changes
We update this page when the game starts to process data in a new way. The date at the top shows the last change.
